Summary
Commercial Gas Engineer (Plant / Energy Centres)
£55,000 + bonus + van
Based Greenwich | London sites
40 hrs + on-call
Role overview
Our client operates energy and district heating infrastructure across London. The successful engineer will be responsible for maintaining and restoring heat supply across plant and network assets, working safely and independently on commercial plant.
Key responsibilities
- Planned and reactive maintenance on commercial gas plant
- Working within energy centres and plant rooms
- Fault finding on pumps, plate heat exchangers, pressurisation units, valves and associated pipework
- Responding to callouts and reinstating heat during failures
- Safe isolation and basic electrical fault finding
- Accurate completion of work orders and clear communication with site and operations teams
Candidate profile
- Proven background as a Commercial Gas Engineer
- Strong experience working on commercial plant systems
- Experience in plant rooms or energy centres is beneficial but not essential
- District heating experience is strongly preferred
- Candidates from wider energy or utilities environments are also suitable
- Full UK driving licence
- Must live within 1 hour of London
- Attitude and reliability are key
