Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Kick-start your teaching career with paid, hands-on classroom experience.
We are recruiting Graduate Future Teachers / Graduate Teaching Assistants for permanent roles across primary, secondary and SEN schools in Chelmsford. These roles are ideal for graduates who want to develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to progress into teacher training and achieve QTS.

The Role
As a Graduate Future Teacher, you will work closely with experienced teaching staff to support pupils throughout the school day. You’ll gain first-hand classroom experience while developing the practical skills essential for a future teaching career.

This is a varied, rewarding role that offers exposure to lesson delivery, behavior management and pupil support in a real school environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Support teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
• Assist with behavior management and classroom routines
• Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Prepare learning resources and lesson materials
• Supervise pupils during breaktimes and school activities
• Encourage engagement, confidence and positive learning behaviors

What We’re Looking For
• A degree in any subject (education-related degrees welcomed but not essential)
• A genuine interest in teaching or working with children and young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, reliable and patient approach
• Any experience working with children (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable

What’s On Offer
• Permanent employment within London schools
• Clear progression routes into teacher training, including QTS pathways
• Ongoing training and CPD
• Supportive and welcoming school environments

Some schools also offer fixed-term contract options (12, 24 or 39 weeks). These can be discussed if you would prefer a temporary role rather than a permanent position.
