Summary
Meridian requires a permanent full-time plumber for a large static site in Battersea (high-end residential apartment block complex)
£50,000 per annum salary
Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm working hours
Overtime available @ x1.5
Discretionary annual bonuses and awards for exceptional performers
Development, cross-training and exposure to other roles
Duties will include:-
- Assess plumbing issues on both domestic and commercial buildings and make initial decisions, escalating complex issues to the relevant manager as appropriate.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks as directed without direct supervision.
- Assess emergency situations and carry out first line emergency repairs when safe to do so
- Produce accurate job reports using the company’s mobile app
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
- Support the team with multi-trade tasks as needed, including:
- Carpentry repairs (doors and windows)
- Basic locksmith tasks (adjusting locks and door closers
- Small-scale decoration works, including flooring installation
- One-off ad hoc maintenance tasks
Criteria
- Proven experience of working in a plumbing role dealing with both domestic and commercial scale projects
- Minimum qualification – NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or related mechanical discipline
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to deal with a range of people at all levels
