St Teresa of Calcutta Academy Trust Central Team are currently seeking a Senior Pension Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.

You will play a pivotal role in providing expert guidance, robust compliance and seamless administration across the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) and Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on responsibility, accuracy and high-quality service delivery. As part of the payroll team, you’ll work closely with HR, Finance and school leaders, acting as the Trust’s in-house expert for all pension-related matters.

In this role you will:

• Lead the administration of all Trust pension schemes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and excellent service.
• Provide expert advice to staff, managers, HR and payroll colleagues – especially on more complex TPS and LGPS cases.
• Oversee statutory monthly and annual submissions and ensure deadlines are met consistently.
• Resolve escalated pension queries and liaise directly with Teachers’ Pensions, LGPS administrators.
• Lead on audit readiness, reconciliation, processes and continuous process improvement.
• Support organisational change projects through clear, professional pension guidance.
• Help shape efficient Trust-wide pension practices and deliver training to HR and school-based staff.

We are seeking an individual who has:

• Has significant experience in pension administration, ideally including TPS and LGPS.
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Confident in explaining complex information clearly and calmly to a range of audiences.
• A proactive approach, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong technical skills, especially with data and spreadsheets, experience with HRIS/payroll systems e.g. iTrent is highly desirable.
• A positive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues across schools and central teams.
