Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Mount Pleasant Junior School and Mount Pleasant Infants School, both Outstanding:

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner to work as a Classroom Teacher within our Federation.

In this role, you will:

• be a member of a year team in Early Years, KS1 or KS2
• work collaboratively with year colleagues with the guidance and support of Leaders
• provide professional teaching to a class or group of pupils within the schools to improve standards of learning and achievement

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be a caring professional with high expectations for pupil progress
• Relish the challenge and recognise the benefits of working with multi-lingual children
• Welcome professional development and be ready to embrace new opportunities
• Be a team player with good interpersonal skills


• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
• Promote good or better progress and outcomes by pupils
• Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
• Plan and teach well-structured lessons
• Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
• Make accurate and productive use of assessment
• Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
• Fulfil wider professional responsibilities

Personal and Professional Conduct:

• Teachers must demonstrate consistently high standards of personal and professional conduct.
• Teachers should meet these standards and continue to meet them throughout their teaching career.
• The federation will support teachers as they continue to develop their expertise both within these standards and towards the Post-Threshold standards.
