About Dimensions

At Dimensions, work is more than a payslip — it's a place to belong, grow, and genuinely make a difference. We're guided by values that put people first, creating an inclusive and supportive environment where your wellbeing matters and your voice is heard.

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll be part of a team that ensures every night is safe, calm, and reassuring for the people we support. Your presence will bring comfort, dignity, and continuity to their lives.

We're also incredibly proud to be recognised as a Great Place to Work for the seventh year in a row in 2025 — a reflection of how much we value and invest in our colleagues.

About the role

You'll be supporting nine wonderful ladies, aged from their 20s to their 60s, who live together in their own home in Orkney. They're active, sociable, and enjoy a wide range of interests — and while nights are naturally quieter, your role is still essential in helping them feel safe, respected, and supported.

Your role will include:

- Carrying out regular “keeping safe checks” to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.

- Maintaining a clean, hygienic space so that the environment is welcoming and safe.

- Recording important information using our easy-to-use IT systems - from support plans to health and safety logs - so we can provide the best care possible.

- Creating a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night.

- Supporting people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.

- Providing personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.

About you?

We're looking for someone who brings compassion, reliability, and a genuine desire to make a difference. You'll thrive in this role if you:

- Care deeply about people and want to help create safe, positive nights for those who need support.

- Value inclusion and respect, treating everyone with dignity and kindness.

- Stay calm and reassuring, even when things feel challenging - your presence makes a difference.

- Enjoy working independently but also feel part of a team that shares the same purpose.

- Are comfortable using technology to keep accurate records and follow support plans.

- Can provide personal care when needed, always with empathy and understanding.

- Bring flexibility and reliability, knowing that your role is essential to someone's wellbeing.

"Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010."
