Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 66-year-old lady living in the Tonyrefail area. I have a diagnosed learning disability and some mobility problems, but I get about ok with the aid of a walking frame. I really enjoying puzzles and colouring books. I am a massive fan of television soaps including Emmerdale and Coronation Street. I also like to watch game shows like tipping point.
I can do most things, but I do need some support with personal care, helping me get ready for bed including changing my pad, possibly preparing a snack and having a cuppa .
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To help and support me in my home with my bedtime routine.
HOURS OF WORK
4 hours a weekend, (Saturday, Sunday 6pm – 8pm)
RATES OF PAY
£13.70 Per Hour
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
Personal care is changing my incontinent pad.
Supporting me to change into my night ware.
Possibly preparing a light snack.
Making me a hot drink.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

Confident and able to work on your own initiative
Respectful of other people’s homes and property.
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
