Role OverviewAre you looking for a rewarding role that offers variety and flexibility? We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Primary Supply Teaching Assistant to join our team in Plymouth. This role is ideal for those with classroom experience who want to work within the "Ocean City's" vibrant primary school community without the commitment of a permanent contract.
You will be responsible for supporting the class teacher and ensuring a positive learning environment for students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Your Duties Will Involve:-
Academic Support: Providing one-to-one and small group support for literacy and numeracy interventions.

Classroom Management: Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promoting a culture of respect and good conduct.

SEN Support: Assisting students with diverse learning needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN) and SEMH.

Resource Preparation: Assisting with the setup of classroom activities and learning resources.

Student Welfare: Supervising children during break and lunchtimes and following all school safeguarding policies.

Recent experience working within a UK primary school or childcare setting.

A reliable, professional approach with the ability to adapt to different school environments quickly.

A passion for making a genuine difference in children's education.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
