Summary
The main duties of the post are;
To supervise the efficient day to day administration and management of the library.
Supervision of staff in the library.
- Routine supervision of IT equipment and services.
- Contribute to staff training requirements within the library.
- Contribute formally to discussions on service development especially through
engagement with schools and local community groups.
- To contribute to stock selection and promotion.
- To maintain records and undertake the necessary checks in line with the Health
& Safety of the building
- To develop links with young people organisations and schools to enhance services to children
About you:
You will have experience of professional library work
Experience of supervising and motivating staff
You should have extensive experience of working in public libraries and have excellent oral and written communication skills
Ideally you will have a good standard of education, minimum of 4 GCSE’s or equivalent grades A-C which should include English
