Summary
To be a highly competent, knowledgeable and visible practitioner setting the highest standards of care and ensuring the provision of excellent, evidence-based care for all patients and their families.With the Deputy Matron ensure the safe, effective and efficient management of all workforce and financial resources.To act as a role model and skilled practitioner to inspire excellence, constantly demonstrating the highest standards of care and professionalism.To uphold the Neonatal Units Ethos.To ensure the development of all staff within their team, ensuring appraisals are completed.To provide an innovative and progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence based practice.To represent their specialty and at times within their Directorate in corporate wide forums, operational groups and committees, providing an expert nursing contribution.To undertake specific delegated responsibility in the absence of the Deputy Matron.To work with colleagues across the organisation to deliver the ambitions of the Trusts Strategic Plan.
