Summary
The post holders are expected to deliver unscheduled care to a high quality, within our Acute Medical Unit and our specialty medical wards. Ward based care is provided by comprehensive medical specialties including a General Internal Medicine team that run the inpatient medical wards. The post holders will have at least Foundation level 2 competencies and NHS experience and will be expected to deliver care to the standard of an Internal Medicine Training (IMT) stage 1 equivalent. The roles are well supported, with on-site consultant cover from 8am to 8pm 7 days a week. The post holders would be expected to participate in departmental teaching and Quality Improvement Projects / clinical audit.
