Location: St David’s Care Home, Redditch, B97 6PG
Contract Type: Temporary Agency Worker – Inside IR35
Reason: Sickness cover
Start Date: 2 February 2026
End Date: 2 May 2026 (with review for possible extension)
Hours: 18 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday, Wednesday & Friday – 11:00 to 17:00
(Hours may vary and may occasionally include weekends)
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour (PAYE)
The Role
This role is about people. You’ll be supporting tenants by creating opportunities for social interaction, companionship and wellbeing. That can be anything from simply spending time talking with residents to helping coordinate longer-term befriending relationships and organised activities.
You’ll work closely with volunteers, tenants and staff to build a welcoming, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, manage and support volunteers
Coordinate activities and outings for tenants
Maintain accurate paperwork, records and databases
Support consultation and feedback sessions with tenants
Assist with volunteer events such as launch days and celebrations
Contribute to safeguarding by identifying and responding to concerns
General administrative support linked to volunteer and activity programmes
Essential Requirements
Enhanced DBS with barred list (must already hold or be on the Update Service)
Warm, approachable and patient manner
Strong organisation and communication skills
Confident working independently and as part of a team
Right to Work in the UK
