About the Role
As Assistant Furniture & eCommerce Manager, you’ll support the Furniture & eCommerce Manager in delivering two vital income-generating retail functions: our Furniture Store (including van operations) and our charity eCommerce activity. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help drive day-to-day operational excellence, support commercial performance, and ensure high standards of customer service, stock management and compliance across both areas.
Acting as a key deputy when required, you’ll help ensure seamless working between furniture retail, logistics and online sales. You’ll lead from the front, supporting staff and volunteers, managing stock flow, and contributing to meeting operational and commercial targets. This is an exciting opportunity for someone ambitious who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys making a visible impact.
About You
You’ll have experience working in a retail environment, with exposure to online selling platforms and supporting sales activity. Confident supporting and motivating staff and volunteers, you bring a strong customer service ethos, balancing professionalism with empathy.
Hands-on and proactive, you’re comfortable managing the physical demands of furniture retail and logistics work. Energetic, reliable and adaptable, you remain calm under pressure and approach challenges with a solutions-focused mindset. With a strong work ethic and a willingness to step up when needed, you’ll play a key role in driving income and delivering a positive experience for customers, donors and colleagues alike.
