Summary


THE ROLE WILL HAVE A SEPTEMBER 2026 START

The clinical oncology service for children and young people with malignancy has a significant international reputation and has an established record in innovative radiotherapy techniques.

The Children's and Young People's Unit has an excellent, well established paediatric oncology nursing service and there is excellent multidisciplinary care with well-developed integrated psychosocial, educational and family support.

The Oak Centre for Children and Young People is one of the largest comprehensive children's cancer centres in Europe, and the principal treatment centre for all children with cancer in the South Thames area. It is also home to one of Europe's largest and leading drug development programmes in paediatric oncology. The number of Phase I and Il drug trials available for young people has increased from seven in 2009 to 23 in 2016. We also have one of the largest stem cell transplant services for patients with malignant disease in the UK.

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is a world-leading cancer centre.
