Support Manager – Supported Living (Adults)
Location: Middlesbrough – TS5
Service: Supported Living (5 individuals)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Lead a Small Service Where You Can Truly Make an Impact
We’re looking for a dedicated Support Manager to lead a supported living service in Middlesbrough, supporting 5 adults to live independently and confidently in their own homes.
This is an ideal opportunity for a strong senior care professional ready to step into management within a person-centred, values-driven charity.
About the Role
As Support Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall leadership, quality, and day-to-day running of the service. You’ll ensure the people we support receive safe, empowering, and truly person-centred care while building a motivated and confident staff team.
Your role will include:
Leading, supporting, and developing a team of support workers
Ensuring high-quality, person-centred support at all times
Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, and outcome-focused reviews
Managing rotas, staffing levels, and team performance
Maintaining compliance with CQC standards and organisational policies
Supporting individuals to build independence, access the community, and achieve their personal goals
Working closely with families, professionals, and commissioners
What We’re Looking For
We need a confident, hands-on leader with real social care experience.
Essential:
Minimum Level 3 in Health & Social Care
Previous leadership or senior care experience (Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy, etc.)
Background in supported living, learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs
Good knowledge of safeguarding and person-centred practice
Full UK driving licence – must be a driver
Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills
Desirable:
Experience with CQC standards and audits
Experience supporting individuals with behaviours of concern or more complex needs
What’s in It for You
Lead a small, stable service where you can really know the people you support
Work for a charity that puts people before profit
Ongoing training and career development
Opportunity to progress further into senior management
Competitive salary and benefits package
Ready for Your Next Step?
If you’re a senior care professional ready to step into management — or an experienced leader looking for a smaller, person-focused service — we’d love to hear from you.
Apply today or get in touch for an informal chat about the role.
