Summary
Permanent – 37.5 Hours per week
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator to join our team within Lovell’s East Anglia region based out of our Norwich office.
Reporting to the Pre-Contract Director, you will provide land and tender appraisals in a timely manner whilst maximising the land value, development margin and return on capital employed.
You will join a growing team of passionate and dedicated Pre-construction professionals, providing commercial support to the estimating team throughout the region all whilst forming and developing relationships with the internal project teams and our supply chain.
We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for the project at hand, whilst also being able to work within a hardworking team environment. Your duties will include:
Supporting the Estimating team in the identification of risks and the application of the commercial standing instructions
Ensuring that commercial opportunities are optimised, and the company’s position is always suitably protected.
Consistent provision of timely and accurate estimates, pre-acquisition studies, etc. fully utilising the Housebuilder appraisal system
Ensuring accurate and timely subcontract enquiries are used in the formulation of bids where applicable and resolving all issues prior to land appraisal adjudication.
Carrying out site visits on new opportunities and existing developments to understand construction methods.
Candidates will have previous experience within a similar role, and have commercial skills to maximise value recovery, cost control and cash management.
With good knowledge of Excel, you will have the ability to prepare and understand financial reports along with good knowledge and understanding of sub-contract orders and buying.
Good IT skills and previous experience of Estimating software would be advantageous however are not essential.
You must hold a current driving licence which is essential for the role.
