TheCoronary Care Unit (CCU)is a 10-bedded high tech area who’s patient group is largely patients with acute cardiac problems. The patients are usually monitored by cardiac monitors. The Nurse to patient ratio is at the recommended higher level to enable the staff to be more hands on with the patients; deal effectively with emergencies, and invest time in communication & education with patients.

We work closely with The Cardiac Care Ward which is 26 bedded ward is caring for inpatients following on from the Coronary Care Unit with the facility to telemetry monitor up to 8 patients.Staff would normally rotate to CCW for short spells on a rota system.
