Summary
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to manage day-to-day finance and payroll for a growing business. This is a standalone role responsible for accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, month-end reporting, VAT returns, and liaison with external accountants.
Key Duties:
• Manage purchase and sales ledger
• Process payroll and pensions
• Complete bank reconciliations and monitor cashflow
• Prepare month-end accounts and reports
• Submit VAT returns and ensure compliance
• Handle finance and payroll queries
• Maintain accurate financial records and systems
Essential Experience:
• Previous experience in an accounts or finance manager role
• Payroll processing experience
• Strong Excel and organisational skills
• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
Desirable:
• AAT or equivalent qualification
• Experience using accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
Personal Qualities:
• Trustworthy and confidential

• Calm under pressure
