Summary

We are looking for a driven Warehouse Operative to join a global independent soft drinks manufacturer with 78 manufacturing sites worldwide including 6 sites in the UK based in Bridgwater (TA6).


- Salary £31,110.16 pa
- 4 on 4 off Shift pattern – 2 Days, 2 Nights 4 days off
- 12 Hour shifts – Day: 06:00 to 18:00 & Night: 18:00 to 06:00
- 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

As a Warehouse Operative you will join our large warehouse, where you will be trained to operate a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) truck, you will operate the VNA to place stock into high-level racking, retrieve goods, and prepare products for delivery as required by the business.

The VNA racking operates at heights of up to 16 metres (equivalent to a 3–4 storey building), so you must be comfortable working at height and operating machinery at these levels.

Full training will be provided to ensure you are competent, confident, and safe in carrying out this work.

Ideally, you will be an experienced warehouse operative with previous FLT experience and a solid understanding of working in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.

Warehouse Operative: Key responsibilities

- Operate Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks safely and efficiently to move, store, and retrieve stock from high-level racking.
- Place pallet goods accurately into designated VNA locations, following warehouse layout and stock rotation requirements.
- Retrieve raw materials and finished goods in line with production schedules and dispatch priorities.
- Conduct daily pre-use checks on VNA equipment and report any faults or defects.
- Work at heights of up to 16 metres, maintaining full awareness of safety protocols.
- Accurately scan, record, and update stock movements using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Support stock accuracy through regular stock checks, cycle counts, and location audits.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping within VNA aisles, walkways and storage areas.
- Comply fully with H&S policies, site rules and operational procedures.
