Peacehaven Community School is seeking to recruit an excellent Head of English who is looking for an exciting Teaching and Learning responsibility, leading our forward-thinking English department.

You may be an ambitious English teacher seeking your first Head of Department role, or you may already be a successful TLR holder or Middle Leader. We believe in developing the capacity of our staff and the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to participate in CPD that will enhance knowledge and support growth.

We are particularly interested in employing a candidate who has a strong, forward looking vision for the English curriculum.

The candidate will:

• Be an outstanding teacher with the drive and capacity to really thrive in this role and to become an exceptional leader.
• Have a clear vision of how to improve standards in English.
• Have the ability to teach and lead across both Key Stages 3 & 4.
• Be able to lead, motivate and inspire students and colleagues.
• Be resilient, hard-working, solution focused, and committed to transforming student outcomes.
