What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate class teacher to join our dynamic team at Killinghall CE Primary School. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment for our children. As a class teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and supporting the holistic development of each child in your care.
We are looking for someone who is a fantastic, resilient, dynamic classroom practitioner. Someone who is energetic, passionate and able to drive aspirations and 'bring about the best' for all members of our community.We encourage our teachers to inspire and excite children with creative approaches to teaching and learning.Ultimately, we want our teachers to live out our school vision and to ‘strive, share and shine’.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
• Create a safe,nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports early development
• Assess, record and track children’s progress using ongoing observation and assessment
• Support children’s personal, social and emotional development, including positive behaviour
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider staff to support learning
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers through regular communication
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND pupils
• Contribute to wider school life and continuous professional development
• Be passionate about primary education and the importance of developing a growth mindset from a young age.
