Your new role
As Accounting Technician, you will report to the Financial Controller and your main duties will include:
Assist with month-end close processes, working closely with the Accountant and Members of the Finance Team to support the day-to-day finance function.
Contribute to the accurate and timely preparation of the monthly management accounts, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheet and journal entries.
Provide support with the year-end close procedures and production of the year-end audit file to include supporting schedules, audit evidence and analysis.
Liaise with both the Internal and External Auditors as required and provide support for the completion of audits.
Conduct financial reviews and provide ad-hoc reports and analyses as required.
Assist with the preparation of regular trade predictions and financial projections.
Provide support with the annual budgeting process, including the preparation and ongoing monitoring of budgets and the provision of cost analysis and forecasts.
Day-to-Day Financial Support.
Provide support for the weekly and monthly payroll processes.
Contribute to the development and review of financial policies and procedures as required.
Support finance staff with implementing continuous system/process improvements and contribute to finance projects as required.
Assist with other finance administrative tasks as and when required.

What you'll need to succeed
Fully Qualified Accounts Technician: IATI or equivalent
At least two years' relevant experience in either a practice or commercial background
In-depth understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and strong accounts preparation experience
Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
Experience working with payroll
