A leading organisation with a strong presence in its sector is seeking a Project Accountant to join its finance team on a key assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact by improving processes and driving efficiency across the business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in resolving complex issues within the finance function.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating and identifying root causes of ledger discrepancies and process gaps
  • Collaborating with Finance Business Partners, Credit Control, and other stakeholders to gather information and implement solutions
  • Reconciling accounts and working through large data sets to ensure accuracy
  • Developing recommendations for improved processes, documentation, and governance
  • Supporting the business in implementing sustainable solutions for future efficiency

This is a hands-on role that requires someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves and tackling detailed work, while also influencing change across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong experience in a private sector finance environment
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data and complex reconciliations
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), Part-Qualified, or QBE will all be considered.
