Working on local authority housing stock
We're looking for an experienced Multi Trade Carpenter to join a well-established property maintenance contractor delivering repairs and refurbishment works across Harrow Council's housing properties.
This is a full-time, ongoing contract role with the potential for long-term work for reliable and skilled operatives.
About the Role:Working across occupied and void social housing properties, you'll be responsible for:

Completing a wide range of carpentry repairs and installations:

Hanging doors, fitting kitchen units, worktops, skirting, architraves
-
Window board repairs, lock replacements, handles and ironmongery

Carrying out basic multi-trade tasks such as:

Patch plastering, tiling, basic plumbing, painting & decorating

Logging work and updates using a PDA or mobile device
-
Ensuring all work meets required standards and complies with health & safety procedures

Providing a professional and respectful service to tenants in occupied homes

NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent experience)

Competency in additional trades (tiling, patch plastering, basic plumbing, decorating)

Full UK manual driving licence

Previous experience working in social housing, council housing, or domestic property maintenance

Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach

£21.00 - £23.00 per hour, paid weekly

Company van and fuel card provided (for work use only)

Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
