Summary
We are looking to recruit an experienced Year 5 Class Teacher for a primary school in Stockport.This post has an immediate start (February 2026) and will be until the end of the academic year.My client is a warm, ambitious, and inclusive primary school in Stockport committed to providing a high‑quality education for every child. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Class Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for leading a vibrant and engaging Year 5 classroom, delivering high‑quality lessons that inspire curiosity and promote a love of learning.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative, well‑structured lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Assess and track pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events, clubs, or curriculum development
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive KS2 team
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management
- Has high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to raising standards
- Demonstrates creativity, flexibility, and a passion for teaching
- Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
