The key offices in the area are Leeds and North Shields, the two DHQ's in the region that the role will also cover.Working hours: Minimum 35 hours per week, Home-PeripateticInterview Date: To be confirmedJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Head of Estates & Maintenance (known internally as Head of Estates) to lead the delivery and performance of our property portfolio across the Northern region, comprising 300+ properties including churches, residential accommodation, offices, retail, and homelessness centres.The location for this post can be based anywhere in Yorkshire and North East of England, it is a Peripatetic role where travel will be required across this region. The key offices in the area are Leeds and North Shields, the two DHQ's in the region that the role will also cover.This senior role provides professional leadership, including, planned maintenance, capital projects and statutory compliance, ensuring properties are safe, sustainable, compliant and fit for purpose. You will lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary, matrix-managed team of building professionals, acting as a source of expertise, mentoring and guidance, while providing assurance and direction at a regional level.As Head of Estates & Maintenance (Known internally as Head of Estates) you will act as the senior property lead and primary relationship manager for the region, delivering the Property Vision:“ right property solutions, right time, right cost, delighting our customers and enabling Mission .”Key Responsibilities:Leadership of estates services across a complex, mixed-use portfolioOwnership and delivery of the Planned Maintenance Programme, lifecycle planning and capital projectsOversight and assurance of statutory and regulatory compliance and estates riskLeadership, development and performance management of a matrix-managed professional teamSenior-level stakeholder management, advising and influencing trustees, senior leaders and external partnersFinancial leadership including development and management of annual budget, programme management and financial reportingSuccessful candidate will have: Extensive experience managing maintenance and investment programmes across a large, mixed-use portfolioStrong leadership capability within matrix management environmentsProven financial management experience and value-for-money deliveryExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at senior levelDegree in a property-related discipline and full RICS membership (or equivalent)Full Valid UK driving licence (A fleet car will be provided to use for travels)In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK, Driving Licence and relevant qualifications.
