Summary


Assist the Registered Nurse in the planning, implementation and
evaluation of nursing care.
Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of
patients and their families.
Undertake Level 3 Clinical Health Apprenticeship
Undertake Care Certificate

1. Assist in the assessment of health care needs by undertaking those
assessment aspects that have been delegated by the registered
nurse and in completion of care documentation
2. At the direction of the Registered Nurse participate fully in the delivery
of planned nursing care
3. Provide information to enable the effectiveness of care to be
evaluated and records maintained
4. Involve patients and carers/relatives in the delivery of care
5. Provide reassurance support to patients and carers/family
6. Works collaboratively with others in the ward to ensure that patients
needs are met
7. Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency
situations
8. Provide escort and transfer for patients, with low dependency, as directed
