Our client is a well-established and growing fire safety consultancy delivering high-quality fire risk assessment and compliance services across the commercial, residential, and public sectors. Due to continued expansion in the North East, they are looking to appoint a competent Fire Risk Assessor to join their team covering Newcastle and surrounding areas.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive fire risk assessments in line with current UK legislation and guidance, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
Key responsibilities include:
• Carrying out Fire Risk Assessments across a range of premises including residential blocks, HMOs, offices, retail, healthcare, and education settings
• Identifying fire hazards, evaluating risk, and recommending practical control measures
• Producing clear, detailed, and legally compliant fire risk assessment reports
• Providing fire safety advice to clients and supporting them in achieving compliance
• Liaising with responsible persons, property managers, contractors, and enforcing authorities where required
• Keeping up to date with fire safety legislation, standards, and industry best practice
• Supporting re-inspections and follow-up visits where necessary
About You
We are keen to speak with fire risk professionals who combine strong technical knowledge with a practical, client-focused approach.
Essential:
• Proven experience conducting Fire Risk Assessments in the UK
• Strong working knowledge of fire safety legislation and guidance (RRFSO, Approved Document B, PAS 79, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
• Recognised fire safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Fire Safety, Level 3/4 Fire Safety, IFE qualifications, or equivalent)
• Membership or working towards membership with IFSM, IFE, or similar professional body
• Experience across diverse property types, particularly residential and mixed-use buildings
