TeacherActive are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive Primary School in East Birmingham, who are seeking a Year 4 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher to take full ownership of a KS2 class, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils during a key stage of their academic development.

The Role:

The successful candidate will take on the full responsibilities of a class teacher, including:

• Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Year 4 lessons in line with the National Curriculum

  
  

• Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress

  
  

• Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  
  

• Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

  
  

• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leadership

  
  

• Communicating effectively with parents and carers where required

  
  ‍ The Ideal Candidate:

  We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

    
    

  • Has previous experience teaching Year 4 (desirable but not essential)

    
    

  • Is confident planning and delivering lessons independently

    
    

  • Is happy to work through TeacherActive and be paid via PAYE

    
    

  • Is organised, proactive, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning

    
    

  • Is an ECT or experienced teacher seeking a full-time KS2 opportunity

    
    ✅ Compliance Requirements:

    • A DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new Enhanced DBS through TeacherActive

      
      

    • Ability to provide two professional references, including at least one recent school-based reference
