We are seeking a highly experienced Key Account Director to lead the delivery of soft services across 16 Government Property Agency locations in London and 19 locations across the South.
This role oversees services including Cleaning, Front of House, Porterage, Logistics, Reprographics, Workplace Services, Catering, and Project Delivery.
You will develop strong strategic partnerships, ensuring customer retention, growth, and outstanding service delivery.
Job Description
We are looking for a senior FM leader with strong transformational skills and the ability to navigate complex, highly structured environments.
You will be accountable for full P&L performance, operational excellence, stakeholder management, and the development of a high-performing team.
Government exposure is not essential, though an understanding of government environments would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership to deliver all contractual services, ensuring SLA and KPI requirements are consistently met.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer groups, ensuring alignment with the customer’s strategic vision and account development plan (ADP).
Lead all aspects of operational delivery with a safety-first approach, establishing and embedding a strong safety culture.
Oversee P&L performance, ensuring effective budget management, cost control, and profitability.
Ensure compliance with UKSV requirements across internal teams and specialist supply partners.
Lead, develop, and engage a high-performing team through recruitment, coaching, and succession planning.
Manage subcontractors and work with procurement and suppliers to ensure best-value outputs.
Drive operational resilience by developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs).
Maintain strong stakeholder management to support retention, service excellence, and growth opportunities.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Strong ability to build trusted relationships quickly and influence across a structured and sometimes bureaucratic environment.
Established background in senior FM leadership with proven transformational capability.
Experience in service integration and operational resilience across dual-function environments.
Skilled in leading teams through change, embedding high safety standards, and driving continuous improvement.
Experience in contract retention and customer growth is advantageous.
