Summary

Deputy Chef Manager

Full Time – 37 hours per week

Weekdays and alternative weekends

We’re looking for an experienced Chef to join our Home in Hoddesdon as a Deputy Chef Manager. The ideal candidate will need to be someone who can create homely, nutritious meals and bring warmth and professionalism to our kitchen team.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices in the workplace
• Knowledge of food safety standards and safe working practices
• Willingness to complete relevant training and ongoing CPD
• Experience maintaining high hygiene standards in food preparation
• Practical experience in food preparation, cooking and service
• Ability to meet a wide range of dietary needs with well‑balanced meals
• A collaborative approach and clear, confident communication skills

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard
• Support and guide kitchen staff, helping to build skills and strengthen team performance
• Manage food production processes to maintain efficiency and quality
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
