Summary

We are recruiting an experienced HGV Auto Electrician to join a busy workshop for a well-established manufacturer in Grantham. Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair work on HGV rigids
• Identify, diagnose and rectify electrical faults across vehicle systems
• Work on lighting, braking, ABS/EBS and auxiliary equipment
• Assemble, route and secure wiring looms, connectors, sockets and control modules
• Use diagnostic tools to test systems, carry out inspections and confirm repairs
• Assist with pre-delivery inspections, MOT preparation and refurbishment projects
• Accurately complete all workshop paperwork and electronic job records
• Ensure all work meets health, safety and quality standards

Requirements:

• HGV licence and recognised auto-electrical qualifications are desirable
• Demonstrable experience working as an HGV Auto Electrician
• Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to fault-finding
• Sound understanding of HGV electrical and ABS/EBS systems
• Confident reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical information
• Dependable, quality-driven and able to work both independently and within a team
