Summary

Room Leader (Level 3 Early Years) – Pre-School Room – £32,000



This Room Leader role sits at the heart of the pre-school room, supporting children aged 3–5 through their final early years stage. Day to day, you’ll lead practice in your room, guide your team, and ensure consistently high standards of care and learning



Before You Apply



  • Relevant, recent experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner in a nursery setting is essential.

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) is required.

  • This role is not suitable for candidates without prior pre-school room experience.

What You’ll Need



  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)

  • Recent experience in a Room Leader or senior nursery role

  • Confident understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements

  • Ability to lead a small team and work independently at room level

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Experience specifically within a pre-school room



What You’ll Do



  • Lead the pre-school room, maintaining high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding

  • Support and guide practitioners to deliver age-appropriate activities and routines

  • Plan and oversee the EYFS curriculum within your room

  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers

  • Monitor children’s progress and contribute to assessments and reports

  • Ensure compliance with nursery policies and Early Years regulations
