We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN-school Tutor to join our SEND College in Stockton-on-Tees on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will deliver maths tuition to students ranging from Entry Level 2 to Level 2 functional skills exams, with an immediate start date. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialised maths tuition to students diagnosed with Autism, ensuring individualised learning plans are followed to meet their unique needs and abilities.
- Support students across a range of functional skills levels, from Entry 2 to Level 2, adapting teaching methods to maximise engagement and progress.
- Manage behaviour effectively using positive behaviour support strategies, creating a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and carers to develop and review personalised education plans and behaviour strategies.
- Monitor and record student progress accurately, providing feedback to the wider team to inform future planning.
- Support the emotional and social development of students, promoting independence and confidence in a holistic manner.
- Maintain a calm and positive classroom environment, handling challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
