We are working alongside a welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Oldham that is seeking a committed SEMH Behaviour Support Worker to join its experienced and supportive team. SEMH Behaviour Support Worker - Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Work closely with the class teacher to support learning activities, behaviour management, and targeted interventions
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and resilience throughout the school day
- Support the monitoring of pupil progress and maintain clear communication with staff and families

SEMH Behaviour Support Worker - Person Specification
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs (education, care, or youth settings)
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to behaviour support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A sound understanding of SEMH and SEND strategies
- A relevant qualification in education, care, or support is advantageous but not essential

SEMH Behaviour Support Worker - To Be Eligible You Must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK
- Have an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
- Be able to provide two professional references (child-related preferred)
