Design & Build Healthcare Contractor
A specialist design and build turnkey contractor operating within the healthcare sector is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing West Yorkshire team.
This role is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor with 2-3 years' experience in their first role who is ready to take on more responsibility and progress their career within a supportive, project-focused environment.
The Role
You will manage the commercial aspects of healthcare projects from pre-contract through to practical completion, working closely with Contract Managers, PQS consultants, subcontractors, and clients. The role offers a mix of office and site-based work and genuine autonomy over your own projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Commercial management of healthcare construction projects
• Producing accurate CVRs, cost reports, and forecasts
• Managing subcontractor packages, valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Ensuring projects remain commercially viable with healthy margins
• Supporting projects through to practical completion and final account
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors
• Working collaboratively with Contract Managers and external consultants
About You
• Quantity Surveyor with 2-3 years' post-graduate experience
• Experience within construction (design & build experience preferred)
• Confident managing projects with a good level of independence
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Ambitious, motivated, and keen to progress
Healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential.
