Summary
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 1.1. Work alongside the clinician(s) in the provision of patientcare. 1.2. Undertake and records the following tasks: measurement of height and weight. urinalysis.measurement of blood pressure, temperature and pulse. peak flow measurements recording of ECGs venepuncture 1.3. Recognise changes in the patients observations whichmust be reported and acted on. 1.4. Assist clinicians in emergency management of patients. 1.5. Enable patients to access appropriate professionals in thepractice team. 1.6. Act as a chaperone. 1.7. Appreciate the principles of Healthy Living. 1.8. Provide relevant health promotion literature for patients care 1.9. Clearly presents patients point of view to others 1.10. Ensure stock items are ordered and provided in GP &Management treatment rooms, emergency equipment. 1.11. Maintain clinical equipment efficiently and ensuresservicing is undertaken. 1.12. Follow infection control standards. 1.13. Contribute new ideas to improve patient care. 1.14. Instruct patients in appropriate techniques or tasks. 1.15. Work effectively in a team. 1.16. Interact with patients and colleagues in a professional leadership manner. 1.17. Maintain set standards of organisation in treatmentPractice rooms. 1.18. Take appropriate action if standards are not being met. 1.19. Recognise potential areas of conflict, preventing wherepossible and reporting to senior members of staff if unableto resolve.
