Summary
Murray Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Administrator for our client based in Glasgow for an ongoing contract.
Role Overview:
This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for an experienced administrator to support a busy procurement team. The role will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of purchasing processes, supplier coordination, and documentation control. This contract role is expected to last for 2–3 months and would suit someone with strong organisational skills and experience in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Raising and expediting purchase orders in line with internal requests.
Ensuring orders are placed through approved suppliers and supplier information is accurately maintained.
Acting as a key point of contact for supplier queries and coordinating responses.
Maintaining accurate records to ensure a clear audit trail for all procurement activities.
Managing invoice and order queries to support timely payment processes.
Gathering and logging sustainability information from suppliers for internal and client reporting.
Supporting administrative tasks related to fleet management, including updating driver and vehicle records.
Assisting with insurance data reporting in collaboration with the Management Accountant.
Monitoring vehicle and plant asset check records and flagging any issues.
Keeping central registers updated for tools, equipment, and site locations.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within procurement or supply chain.
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
Confident user of Microsoft Office and internal database systems.
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
Offering:
Contract role for an initial period of 2–3 months.
Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience.
