Summary
If you are, then you might be well suited to a career in Adult Social Care. Some experience providing services across a variety of client groups in health and social care is preferred and you must have a desire to make a difference.
You can make a real transformation to a person’s life, visiting them in the community and completing specialist assessments. You will be assessing people in line with the Care Act and be a pivotal role in the well-being agenda, informing the interventions needed to meet people and carers needs. You will manage and reduce risks, allowing people to remain as safe as possible in the community. You will use a range of solutions including daily living equipment, moving and handling equipment, seating, minor housing adaptations, joint working with partner agencies and so much more.
We are looking for candidates who:
Occupational Therapy qualification and registration with the professional regulatory body.
Communication skills including report writing, liaising with members of the public, managers and other agencies.
Ability to plan and organise a varied workload for self and others, working to short deadlines.
Experience of operating under pressure where demand is constant and priorities need to be set/reviewed.
Ability to use initiative and take responsibility.
