Summary

In the Department of Health and Social Care, we are proud of our purpose – to enable everyone to live more independent, healthier lives for longer. To achieve this, and create a great place to work, we have four values: we are inclusive, we constantly improve, we challenge, and we are agile. If this sounds like an environment you would like to work in, we would love to hear from you.

The Diary and Business Support Officer will support senior leaders within the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to support senior leaders as they deliver the NHS 10 Year Plan and drive the creation of a new DHSC that will integrate NHSE. The new organisation will be leaner, more agile, and bring policy and delivery together to improve health outcomes for the population.

As the primary point of contact for administrative and business support requirements, you will efficiently manage calendars to ensure leaders are able to attend meetings as needed. You will respond promptly to requests, adapting schedules to accommodate changes as they arise.

You will ensure leaders can fulfil their responsibilities as line managers and senior decision-makers, prioritising time with their teams and balancing competing demands. Building strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders will be essential. In addition, you will coordinate arrangements for external meetings and visits, and provide support for team activities such as internal meetings and away days.
