Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
Aragon Primary School is seeking an inspirational and dedicated Headteacher to lead our vibrant school community and drive the next phase of our improvement journey. This vacancy has arisen following the planned retirement of the current Headteacher, who has served the school with distinction for five years as Deputy Headteacher and five years as Headteacher.
We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic leader with the vision, passion, and energy to continue strengthening our provision and ensuring an environment in which both pupils and staff can thrive.
This is a unique opportunity to take on a key leadership role within a highly successful and collaborative Trust. As Headteacher, you will receive full support from the CEO, the Senior Leadership Team, and fellow Headteachers within both the Trust and the wider local network.
This role is suitable for a current Headteacher or an exceptional Deputy Headteacher with strong leadership skills and the drive to take the next step in their career. The Trust is committed to supporting the successful candidate through individualised mentoring and professional guidance from the CEO. We offer a supportive and forward‑thinking environment in which you can grow as a leader and make a significant and lasting difference to the lives of our pupils.
Informal discussions and/or visits to the school are warmly encouraged. To arrange an appointment, please contact Samantha Pennelli, HR Manager, email: spi@willowlearningtrust.org.uk
Closing date: 9am, Monday 9th February 2026
Interview dates: Tuesday 24th & Wednesday 25th February 2026
