Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an exceptionally motivated and dedicated individual to join our Pastoral Team in the role of Behaviour Support Assistant. The primary purpose of this role is to support the Student Inclusion Unit (SIU) Supervisor with the day‑to‑day running of the SIU. Key responsibilities include overseeing students taking part in online learning activities, ensuring timely assignment and completion of tasks, facilitating reparation work, and helping students build resilience to prevent repeat poor behaviour. The role also includes offering support in addressing a range of student concerns, such as behaviour, uniform compliance, emotional well-being, and safeguarding.

We are looking for someone who can work sensitively and effectively with vulnerable young people, has prior experience working with children or young people, and possesses a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a balanced blend of empathy and firmness, remain composed in challenging situations, show personal resilience, and work collaboratively as part of our dedicated Pastoral Team.
