Summary

Third In Charge (Level 3 Qualified) – £29,000



Work here is steady, structured, and focused on doing the basics well. As Third In Charge, you’ll support the team on the floor, help maintain standards across rooms, and provide cover and guidance when required. This nursery offers spacious rooms for babies, toddlers, and preschool children, alongside a bespoke Early Years garden that’s used daily.

  • This role is not suitable for candidates without prior senior or supervisory experience in an early years setting.

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential.

What You’ll Do



  • Support the day-to-day running of the nursery alongside senior leaders

  • Maintain consistent standards across rooms in line with the EYFS

  • Provide guidance and practical support to practitioners and room leaders

  • Step into leadership responsibility as required to ensure smooth daily operation

  • Oversee safeguarding, health, and safety practices

  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and management



What You’ll Need



  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)

  • Proven senior or supervisory experience within an early years setting

  • Strong working knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements

  • Confidence managing responsibility across rooms and staff teams
