A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Lecturer in Textiles to join our close-knit Creative & Digital team on a part-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will lead on our A-Level Textiles course and will also deliver on our Level 2 Creative Arts and Media and BTEC courses.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Teaching within the team on a range of programmes (with a primary focus on Textiles), delivering effective learning for students
  • Be up to date, plan and prepare and high-quality teaching as required by your Line Manager to the appropriate number of hours
  • Develop and share resources for the course/subject including maintaining effective links across College for resources
  • To act as a Personal Tutor for a group across their programme as a whole
  • Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities
  • Maintain comprehensive, up to date, student/course/subject records and provide information, as requested
  • Complete required assessment duties in relation to practical training and student assignments

What We Are Looking For:

  • A degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification/experience
  • A recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment
  • A higher degree or advanced qualification is also desirable
  • Successful teaching experience within Textiles
