Summary
Our Client based in Newbury, who have been established for over 25 years are the leading processor and recycler of WEEE waste in the UK are looking for a General Manager on a permanent full time basis due to continuous business growth.
Salary & Benefits
* £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
* Monday to Friday - 7am to 5pm

Duties & Responsibilities
* Oversee the full site installation process and coordinate closely with suppliers
* Manage the installation rollout to ensure all work is completed within agreed timeframes
* Supervise day‑to‑day operations across the office, yard, and warehouse
* Handle bookings, oversee the unloading of transformers and lorries, record incoming transformers, and complete asset management for each unit
* Take oil samples and manage associated data, records, and reporting systems
* Oversee the safe draining of oil from transformers
* Collect and record data from transformer plates and complete EOS reports, including interpreting analytical results
* Manage large oil storage tanks, liaising with subcontractors, arranging transport, coordinating tanker emptying, and preparing all required documentation
* Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure timely repairs or replacements are carried out
* Ensure all assets meet required health, safety, and environmental compliance standards
* Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory inspections
* Analyse operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
* Produce clear, detailed reports for senior management, stakeholders, and clients
Skills & Requirements
* Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accurate, high‑quality paperwork and data
* Strong background in compliance processes and auditing procedures
* Highly attentive to detail, with a methodical and precise approach
* Excellent organisational and analytical abilities
* Strong communication and people‑management skills
* Working knowledge of permit and planning applications for new depot infrastructure (desirable)
* Forklift driving - training will be provided
