Summary
Class 2 (Category C) Driver - Temp to Perm Opportunity
We are currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 (Category C) Driver on a temporary to permanent basis to join our team based at our Preston depot, covering local deliveries.
Pay & Benefits:
- £14.77ph
- Min 10 hours
- £50 per week bonus
- Overtime paid after 50 hours
- 20 days holiday per annum + Bank Holidays
- Saturday mornings required on a rota basis (1 in 10)
- Paid at overtime rates
- Depot location: Preston
- Typical delivery area: FY postcode
- Local, planned Class 2 deliveries
- Full training provided
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Safe and compliant operation of a Class 2 vehicle
- Completing deliveries in a timely and professional manner
- Ensuring loads are checked, secure, and delivered safely
- Completing all required paperwork accurately
- Maintaining a high standard of customer service
- Adhering to driver hours, tachograph, and road transport legislation
- Valid Category C (Class 2) licence
- Minimum of 2 years Class 2 driving experience
- Over 25 years of age (for insurance purposes)
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations
- Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach
