Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and filing systems in line with legal, audit, and prison service requirements.

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to managers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and cost-effectively.

  • Produce management information, reports, and workforce data, identifying trends where required.

  • Support workforce planning activities, including staff detailing, absence monitoring, leave management, and operational cover.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to support the safe and smooth running of the prison.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a similar or regulated environment.

  • Confident using IT systems and administrative software to manage data and reports.

  • Able to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working as part of a team.

  • Desirable: Experience within health, social care, voluntary sectors, or knowledge of the English legal system.

  • £24,570 per annum
