About the Role
* You’ll provide individual tuition for students who may need help with:
* GCSE core subjects (Maths, English, Science)
* Gaps in learning or low academic confidence
* SEND or SEMH needs
* Re-engaging with education after time out of school
* Tuition may take place in the home, in schools, community settings, or online, depending on the student’s needs and location.
What We’re Looking For
* Tutors or teachers with strong knowledge of Maths, English or Science
* Experience working with secondary-aged students (KS3 & GCSE level)
* A patient, flexible, and student-focused approach
* Confidence supporting learners with additional needs (SEND/SEMH)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to plan engaging, personalised lessons
* Teaching qualifications (QTS/PGCE) are highly valued, but experienced tutors without formal teaching qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
Your Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver tailored one-to-one sessions
* Adapt learning to suit each student’s needs, ability and learning style
* Support both academic progress and confidence building
* Track progress and provide clear weekly reports
* Use creative and practical strategies to help students stay engaged
