Delivery Driver / Shop Assistant
Location: Cattedown, Plymouth
Hours: Part-time, 25 hours a week (11.00am - 16.30)
Salary: £12.30 per hour
Our Client is looking for a reliable and friendly Shop Assistant / Driver to join their team. This is a varied role combining customer service in-store with local driving duties, ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on, fast-paced working environment. Will be required to learn shop systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serving customers in the shop in a polite and professional manner
- Handling cash, card payments, and operating the till
- Receiving, unpacking, and stocking deliveries
- Maintaining a clean and organised shop environment
- Making local deliveries and collections as required
- Loading and unloading goods safely
- Ensuring company vehicles are kept clean and in good condition
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit for manual handling tasks (carry up to 15kg)
- Previous retail or driving experience is an advantage, but not essential
