Summary
This role is office based within our Rochdale Head Office. The Business Development Executive will focus on identifying new sales opportunities within existing and potential customer accounts, developing strong relationships, and supporting the wider commercial team in meeting business objectives.
You’ll be an essential link between the sales, marketing, and customer service teams, helping to uncover opportunities, reactivate lapsed accounts, and ensure our products are front of mind across the trade.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with trade customers over phone and email
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across our product range
Reactivate dormant or low-spend customer accounts
Research and qualify new business leads from inbound enquiries and campaigns
Coordinate with external sales reps to support their field activity
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity tracking
Support campaigns, promotions, and product launches
Provide detailed quotations and product information as needed
Any other responsibilities as required
Who We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a sales, account management or business development role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident phone manner and ability to build relationships quickly
Highly organised and proactive with a results-driven mindset
Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Experience in the trade, manufacturing or kitchen industry is a plus
